Might As Well Jump!
The island holds an energy source that allows for the possibility of time travel. Cool! Unfortunately, a lot of our Losties are randomly jumping through time. If this doesn't stop soon, they'll be in trouble. Daniel Faraday manages to get a message to Desmond, who is off the island with Penny. By talking to him in the past, he's creating a memory for Des in the future. We know. It messes with your head. Anyway, Desmond must find Faraday's mother at Oxford, as she can help.

Safe Six
Jack has contacted the folks on the freighter. Too bad Desmond returns from the Looking Station to tell them that Naomi was lying. The people on the ship are not who they say they are. He then breaks the sad news about Charlie. Hurley is crushed, as is Claire. In flash forwards, we see Hurley chatting with his old deceased pal. Charlie tells Hurley there's something he needs to do. We also find out that Hurley is part of a group known as the Oceanic Six. They are the only people who were rescued from the island.

Trust Issues
Jack, Sawyer and Kate are being held prisoner by the Others. Kate's in a locker room, Sawyer's in a cage and Jack is in some underground bunker (call it the Hydra Station) where he meets Juliet. She seems pretty nice, but Jack doesn't trust her. That's probably wise. Because Juliet looks to be a close friend of Henry Gale, who is really Ben Linus, leader of the Others.

In Another Life
A man named Desmond types something on an old computer. He hits an "execute" button. An explosion interrupts his daily routine. We learn that Desmond lives in down in the hatch Jack, Kate and Locke blew open. As Desmond holds Locke hostage, he recognizes Jack as a man he once met in Los Angeles. It was a long time ago, briefly in another life.

Crash Course in Survival
